Journalist and documentary maker by education, I moved to the development sector by choice to satisfy my social instincts. Ever since, I have been building my profile as expert in the field of communication for development. Having a bottom up approach has helped me to master various communication channels – digital, social media, mainstream media for PR, IEC as well as the scope of social and behavior change communication materials both at individual as well as community level for social mobilization and participatory communication for the development sector. Having competency in social media, PR and content writing, I am currently working for Landesa, Rural Development Institute and have worked with other organizations like Oxfam India coordinating with different departments, INGOs, Government & Civil Society Groups. The scope of my work has helped me multitask and work with various thematic areas including gender issues which has been an overarching theme across other themes like - education, health, gender issues, disaster risk reduction as well as land and livelihood issues. I enjoy working in team and with teams; coordinating with different departments and learning from my colleagues.
