Summary

Over half of Alex’ 36-year professional career has been dedicated to growing energy efficiency and other clean energy technology deployment in at least 12 Asian markets through the identification, due diligence and financial close of over $3 billion in direct investments, and also through catalytic market transformation, policy, regulatory, fund mobilization and transaction support interventions. He convened, founded and chairs the Asia-Pacific ESCO Industry Alliance and the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance. He is also one of the co-founders of the Global ESCO Network. From 1984-1999, he was heavily involved in project management for multilateral and bilateral financing institutions, rural electrification, and multidisciplinary engineering for buildings, industrial facilities, and energy, transport and water infrastructure. Alex is armed with 33 years of project and corporate management experience, an aggregate 27 years of energy sector involvement, and an educational background in civil engineering (BSCE) and economics (MBE).
