Amin Chowdhury

I have 20 years of experience in digital development specifically in digital economic growth, public sector engagement, agriculture and food security, global climate change, education, water supply and sanitation, global health, and transparency and governance sectors. I have been providing strategic advice on potential ICT-enabled solutions and integrating digital technologies in social development opportunities in Bangladesh through USAID, Transparency International, DFID, World Bank, and UNICEF. I have conducted several digital assessments at USAID to support the use of ICT, identifying complementary critical areas for capacity building and process improvement. As a member of ICT4D and the U.S. Global Development Lab/Center for Digital Development (CDD), Washington DC, I research on emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science use for international development. I am the point of contact for all new digital technologies and scaling up the best practices in USAID activities, the indo-pacific strategies' Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP), digital innovation, digital financial services, and the USAID Digital Strategy implementation in South Asia. I have been playing a key role as the Digital Advisor in the Global Digital Development Advisors Program (DDAP). I have Level IV English proficiency and experience with leading multicultural teams.
