Andrija Mijanovic

More than twenty years of experience on managing and implementing complex donor and privately funded projects; coupled with a strong knowledge of overall management, programing, operations, grants management, civic engagement and economic development. I possess extensive experience working in USG funded projects (USAID, NEA, OTI) as well other donors (EU,ECHO, DFID, UNHCR. UKAid). I have extensive experience in region with USAID, EU funded projects, managing various development component. Before my current engagement with PartnersGlobal, I was a Project Manager for Serbia with People in Need (PIN). Prior to that I was a DCOP for Operations & Grants and Strategic Grants Director in Counterpart-Afghanistan, responsible for overall management and coordination between the departments and for successful implementation of USD84M program's portfolio. Between two assignments in Afghanistan, I worked as DCOP/ Acting COP in Turkey/Syria program, where I was responsible for overall management, operations, grants management, MEAL, logistic and procurement. Lately as the Senior Grants Manager/Acting Team Leader in Afghanistan I was responsible for the delivery of a USAID funded USD14m community-based grants portfolio and I managed a team of over eighty grant's, capacity building, engineering operations and procurement staff. As Senior Program Manager (DCOP) in Kosovo I worked directly with local government, local CSOs, businesses and communities to prioritize their needs, and support businesses and implement a wide variety of community development projects worth USD15m funded by USAID. This broadened my skills as good communicator on all levels including Governments, Ambassadors, International and foreign state Organizations. Also, my professional experience on designing, implementing and managing various projects, has equipped me with the strong ability to manage and supervise complex project activities. All above mentioned, as well my entrepreneurship experience provides me ability to be process-driven and strategic, yet flexible and innovative. I hold master's degrees in Construction Engineering and Hydro Engineering with focus on management and budgeting, with extensive experience in project management.
