
With over 15 years of progressive experience in public health, nutrition, strategic planning, monitoring, and analytics, I have managed national level nutrition specific and multisectoral programs at the national level, working closely with government ministries, UN agencies, donors, and partners. In Bangladesh, I successfully managed UNICEF’s support to the Government in operationalizing the National Nutrition Operational Plan, overseeing national planning, capacity strengthening, and implementation through six field offices and over forty consultants. My expertise spans results-based management, strategic planning, data analytics, and innovation. I have a strong track record in donor coordination, advocacy, and network building, which has contributed to increased financing for nutrition. I bring well-rounded skills in financial management, human resources, partnership development, external representation, and business analysis. As a team leader, I am committed to mentorship and fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive work environment. Relevant Major Professional Accomplishments and Contributions 1. Led global guidance and support to 134 country offices for UNICEF’s annual work planning process, with a cumulative budget of over USD5 billion. Supported 124 Country Offices, 7 Regional Offices, and 18 HQ divisions in implementing the Electronic Work Planning (eWP) system. Operationalized policies, procedures, and systems to enable national governments to adopt harmonized and streamlined approaches with increased accountability. 2. Played a key role in UNICEF corporate planning and monitoring for over four years, facilitated strategic planning and contributed to Bangladesh UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2022-2026 and GoB-UNICEF Country Programme (CP) 2022-2026 (of USD400M) development and operationalization. 3. Led engagement with NNS/IPHN to implement UNICEF’s support for Bangladesh’s USD90 million National Nutrition Services Operational Plan (NNS OP), strengthening health workforce capacity and increasing nutrition services delivery from 15% (2014) to 86% (2019). 4. Provided technical assistance for the World Bank’s Pay-for-Performance Initiative, enabling a USD81 million disbursement to the Government of Bangladesh for achieving key two child and maternal nutrition results (including IFA supplementation, weight monitoring, and counselling) 5. Collaborated with MI/NI on multiple initiatives, including the implementation of the National Vitamin A Campaign (NVAC) reaching 23 million children—even during the COVID-19 pandemic. 6. Supported initiation of the Unite4Nutrition campaign, reaching 54 million social media engagements. Facilitated a joint commitment statement from the Bangladesh National Nutrition Council (BNNC, chaired by the Prime Minister), NI, and partners, resulting in a 34% increase in national nutrition financing from domestic resources. 7. Led the operationalization of the Nutrition Information System (NIS) in Bangladesh, integrating multiple data systems with visualization platforms, profiles, and scorecards; and initiated real-time monitoring tools to enhance decision-making and accountability. 8. Supported the implementation, management, and monitoring of Urban Health programme (USD34 million UPHCP-II and USD87 million UPHCSDP projects) from 2006 to 2014, focusing on maternal, child health and nutrition.
