
Mohammad Sikder is a Labour Migration Specialist with more than 20 years empirical research, 10 years teaching and 8 years consultancy experience as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Expert with ILO, IOM, UNHCR, DFID/FCDO, British Council, European Commission, GIZ, USAID and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Sikder''s research expertise includes internal and international labour migration; modern slavery and labour migration recruitment (OLR) process; returnee migrants' reintegration; remittances, development, dependency and inequality; Migration and TVET Skills for Employment; forced migration and Rohingya (Myanmar) refugees’ situation; irregular cross-border migration, human smuggling and trafficking; Ready-Made Garments (RMG), Trade Unions and Women Empowerment; and climate change-induced migration, urban resettlement and livelihood. Sikder has extensively written on migration issues and published several books, book chapters and articles in national and international reputed publications.
