With over seven (7) years of extensive experience in project management, organizational development, communications and strategic patnership, Mr. Arafat is a dedicated professional in the field of youth, gender, labour relations, livelihood, development programs, operating at national, regional, and international levels. His focus areas encompass livelihood, education, health, climate change, labour relation, civic engagement, and beyond. Arafat's career has been centered on empowering young individuals and community, providing guidance in leadership, sexual and reproductive health and rights, governance, human rights, environmental stewardship, employability, entrepreneurship, career counselling, GBV, Menstrual hygiene and essential life skills. Arafat has continually enhanced his skills through specialized training in Project Planning and Management, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Youth leadership and Climate Adaptation TOT, Life Skills Trainer, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Labour Relations and Public Management, Positive Youth Development Foundation, Community Advocacy and Engagement, diplomatic communications and etiquette as well as Gender and Disability Inclusive Programming. These additional skills have been acquired from reputable institutions. His extensive experience includes the communications, donor and partners engagement, design, management, and technical support of youth agency, engagement, community empowerment, emergency response, research and development, start-ups mentorship, gender mainstreaming, governance, WASH, MHH and economic and livelihood programs funded by prestigious organizations such as the MasterCard Foundation, Porticus, Diamond Do Goods, US Embassy, Save the Children International, Obama Foundation, UNDP, Care International, Irish Aid, and the United Nations Tanzania. Furthermore, Arafat is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and currently volunteering appointed serves as the National Youth Envoy of Tanzania at the Commonwealth Youth Council, operating under the Prime Minister's Office, Youth, Labor, Employment, and People with Disabilities. He is also a Founder of the Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards Initiative. Arafat is characterized by strong values rooted in community engagement-driven approaches, inclusion, impact, creativity, and innovation.
