I am an applied feminist anthropologist with more than 30 years of experience that includes strategic leadership; qualitative research and evaluation; programme design, and institutional strengthening. My areas of expertise include prevention and response relating to violence against women and girls and other forms of gender-based violence (GBV); analysis of social and gender norm change; gender analysis and integration across sectors; gender and HIV prevention and response; and human rights policy and practice. I have led projects funded by diverse donors and organizations, including USAID, UN agencies, US Department of State, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Bank, NGOs, and others in sectors that include health; democracy & governance; education; and transport and infrastructure. I am a skilled facilitator using participatory and appreciative methodologies. I have lived in Uganda, Kenya, Swaziland/eSwatini, and Jamaica; and worked across Africa; and in Eastern Europe, East Asia and parts of the Middle East.
