Global Gender Equality, Diversity and Social Inclusion specialist. A seasoned human rights lawyer, and leader with 20 years of experience promoting GESI in development programs in highly political context including, sensitive conflict environments in over 30 Sub-Saharan Africa and Arab states. I am passionate about equality, and I am driven by a desire to see inclusivity of all in my lifetime. I am well-versed in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies with first-hand experience with empirical studies, research synthesis, and systematic reviews in organizations to tap into opportunities and effectively achieve value for their investments and create Sustainable Impact. I have extensive experience in capacity building, I have successfully equipped over 3000 staff in various institutions. I have the ability for resource mobilization for women empowerment programs where, I have successfully raised US $ 10 million over 3 years for Gender program at Plan International Region of Eastern and Southern Africa. Moreover, US $ 1 million over 2 years for African women’s advocacy and social change networks at Grace Machel Trust. More recently, my tenure as technical advisor positioned me at the nexus of energy, climate change, and gender through work such as conducting gender mainstreaming and self-assessments for SADC energy utilities and regulators, EGENCO Malawi, and developing the gender strategy, mainstreaming program, and action plan for SAEP as gender equality advisor and UN agencies. Moreover, I, continue to facilitate transformative leadership sessions for Local governments, private sector, and public sector, and publications on women’s empowerment.
