As a Fulbright Fellow with a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon and having served as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Kentucky and California State University in Long Beach; Ms. Maatkerimova enjoys a career of over fifteen years of successful work in her field in Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the USA. Her success draws on her proficiency in designing, leading, and implementing grant management, program monitoring and evaluation, program design, fellowship programming, strategic planning, and proposal development. Ms. Maatkerimova’s support to her chosen field reflects a passion for “giving back” as seen in her volunteer work such as being a founding member of, and mentor with, the prestigious E.S. Muskie Internship Program Alumni Council/representing Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia; serving as a Board Member of a Family Relief Nursery in Cottage Grove Oregon; and as a Co-Founder of an English Club for immigrants from post-soviet countries in the city of New York.
