Getting to really develop my thoughts and M&E expertise at cutting edge of effective development and then execute these thoughts in practical and participatory ways that co-create and model innovations and appropriate solutions. Bridging the technical, academic and practitioners’ divide is a function that is quite often absent from development and so am proud to ably play a role in contributing to this process. My greatest undertaking has been trying to convince people to break with what they think or know and act differently in the development arena. With my strong background in Rural Economy and economics, I am passionate about applying systems thinking to M&E that embraces complexity and facilitation principles, concepts and tools in participatory monitoring and evaluation in development and humanitarian setting. Over the last 15 years, I’ve modelled confidence and expertise that builds knowledge around education, livelihoods, food security, energy, Water systems, natural resource management, Maternal and Child Health, community health, HIV/AIDS, Gender Based Violence, and disaster risk reduction in fragile and development environment. Immense experience with M&E statistical tools and analysis; Mobile data collection form design; design and implementation of M&E systems, monitoring and evaluation for US government funded projects, United Nations funded programs, the European Union (EU), BPRM, DANIDA, among other donors. With over fourteen years of technical and strategic leadership in World Vision Uganda, Danish Refugee Council, SNV Uganda, country program portfolio in M&E and developing countrywide and program-specific M&E and information management systems for data-driven impact and adaptive management at the core, I hold a Masters and a PGD in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) from the Uganda Technology and Management University.
