Jean-Patrice ZOMAHOUN

Senior Consultant Auditor-Trainer, Mr. ZOMAHOUN Jean-Patrice Omer Coovi is an agricultural engineer, specializing in food technology, nutrition and hygiene and food safety. He served as Consultant Trainer/Senior Auditor at AFAQES, from 2014 to 2018. He contributed to the development of the horticultural sector in Benin and Togo, especially with regard to capacity building for producers and processors of pineapple for the European market, as part of the support of the PIP in partnership with the Europe Africa Caribbean and Pacific Liaison Committee (COLEACP), which will become COLEAD from January 2023. COLEAD is the Entrepreneurship Agriculture Development Liaison Committee and is financed by the 10th EDF. Emeritus food technologist, specialist in agronomic and agri-food issues, Mr. ZOMAHOUN Jean-Patrice also contributed in the 2000s to the promotion of conservation activities – processing – drying and the marketing of many processed agricultural products such as dried or juiced fruits (pineapple, bananas, bissap, baobab, tamarind, mangoes, citrus fruits, etc.), roots (cassava), tubers (yam) and dried vegetables (okra, pepper, tomato, onion, etc.) with the partnership between “Groupe Energies Renouvelables Environnement et Solidarité (GERES)”, a French NGO and Agro-Bénin Développement (ABD-ONG), a Beninese NGO of which he was the promoter, through the Support Project for Entrepreneurs for the Promotion of Dried Products (PAEPS) of which he was the coordinator.
