Katie Niemeyer has been working with agricultural development initiatives since 2012, spending the last six years accomplishing a successful track record in technical advisory services, program design, proposal writing, partnership development, and project management. Most recently serving as the Market System Advisor at USAID/Ethiopia, her experience spans USAID, USDA, private foundation, and private sector-funded initiatives in Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, DRC, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Mongolia, and the United States. Ms. Niemeyer is well-versed in a wide range of technical approaches including facilitative implementation leveraging market systems thinking and private sector engagement, and specializes in food, agriculture, and NRM-based economic growth programming. Ms. Niemeyer possesses a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree focused in International Agricultural Development from University of California, Davis and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Political Economy and Economics from Carthage College.
