Summary

I am a Public Health Specialist and a Social Worker with 28 years of vast expertise in commu nity HIV prevention and intervention programing for Key, priority, vulnerable, migrant, mobile, fish-folk and general populations. With 17 years of professional experience in senior and middle management positions working with relevant community, local and international partners to optimize and scale up quality and comprehensive HIV Testing Services (HTS) for key populations and priority populations across the sub-Saharan Africa. I previously worked with ICAP in Sierra Leone as a Senior Prevention Advisor for Key Population where I lead the Optimizing Momentum towards sustainable Epidemic Control (OpCon) mechanism providing technical, strategic oversight and programmatic expertise in HIV prevention, care and treatment activities for FSW, MSM, TGW, PWID on the PrEP program for key population. I have previously worked for multiple USG and other international non-governmental organizations where I led the design and guided the implementation of appropriate community DSD models, best community of practice in increasing access to HIV/TB care and treatment services for key population in many African countries. I am a Health Sector Champion on the Global Fund funded Key Population – Representation, Evidence and Advocacy for Change in Health (KP REACH) program were I formulated key population networks and INGOs in Southern, East and West Africa to address the high levels of HIV infection, deaths and stigma and discrimination. In 2015, the Royal Netherlands under their COC a Dutch organization for LGBT people recognized me as a pillar for roundtable discussions on access to better health for key populations. I have vast experience and understanding of USG funded programs including PEPFAR, HRSA, CDC, USAID and other such as DFID, PEPAIDS, and UKAID. I have collaborated mainly with the UN-family in Sierra Leone (UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNICEF, and WHO) respectively.
