
Promise Iroegbu is a highly accomplished professional in Humanitarian, Resilience, and Sustainable Development program implementation, with over 16 years of extensive experience in Country Program and Project Management, Resilience Programming, Emergency Relief, CLA, MEAL, SBC, C4D, and Community Engagement in both development and emergency settings. He holds a Master’s degree in Management, a First Degree in Communications, and is currently completing his Ph.D. in Management. His expertise spans conflict and post-conflict regions, having worked with the United Nations, International NGOs, the Private Sector, and as a USAID Contractor. Promise has more than 15 years of experience implementing projects funded by major donors including USAID, World Bank, FCDO, ECHO, GAC, CDCS, SDC, Global Fund, DANIDA, and PEPFAR in conflict and post-conflict countries. He has supported or worked in countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Yemen, and Nigeria He has more than 10 years of MEL/CLA & adaptive management experience with USAID In his leadership roles, Promise has consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise in managing large-scale humanitarian programs. As the Deputy Country Director/Head of Program with Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) in Ukraine, he oversees a $26 million portfolio funded by USAID BHA, UHF, and ECHO, managing multiple key units and ensuring high standards of program quality and effectiveness. Previously, as the CLA/MEL Director for the $29 million USAID Resilience through Agriculture in South Sudan (RASS) Activity, he managed six units across 17 counties, developed comprehensive monitoring systems, and led significant USAID Social Behaviour Change (SBC) campaigns. At the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in South Sudan , he supported a $32 million portfolio, spearheaded the implementation of USAID Protection, Shelter and Settlements grant, and the DANIDA & ECHO co-funded emergency response and mobile team, among other initiatives. Additionally, while working with Humanity and Inclusion (HI) in South Sudan, he supported the implementation of two FCDO-funded projects, the Mental Health and Inclusive Humanitarian Response project and the Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) project, as well as ECHO-funded mobile response and UNHCR grants totaling $18 million. As the Consortium Project Director for FCDO (DFID) Humanitarian and Resilience in South Sudan (HARISS) Project with GOAL, he provided strategic and technical direction for the £11 million FCDO project
