Ronald Kubasu

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi (Kenya) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Kenyatta University (Kenya). I have over 9
years progressive experience and extensive expertise in Program Design, Implementation, Management, Resource Mobilization, Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation having worked with various International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) and Research Institutions. I have deeply been involved in various development platforms in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Malawi and other Eastern & Central African Countries contributing towards enhancing program visibility, learning, efficiency and effectiveness.

I am currently serving as a WASH Advisor for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program at SNV – Netherlands Development Organization, Kenya where I am responsible for strengthening the capacity of Water Services Boards, County Governments and rural Water Service Providers in Kenya to adopt innovative models for management of Water and Sanitation utilities for sustainability. I previously served as Health Program Coordinator with Plan International Inc., Kenya where I was directly responsible for a portfolio of 6 projects with annual budget averaging to about US$ 1 million and I directly supervised a team of 5 Technical Staff. I contributed immensely to the growth of the Health Program portfolio at Plan Kenya through resource mobilization. I was further responsible for program technical and management oversight that ensured timely and quality delivery of the projects.

Besides, I have previously served in various capacities with CARE International in Kenya where I was responsible for execution of School Water, Sanitation and Hygiene plus Community Impact (SWASH+) and Water, Sanitation and Education for Health (WASEH) programs in Nyanza Province. I also served as a Research Assistant with Moi University (Kenya) School of Public Health research projects.
