I am a professional with over 20 years of working experience in senior positions in emerging markets. I have vast experience implementing complex and large projects, in the economic growth area. I have 16 years of experience working for USAID programs of which 15 as Chief of Party. I have spent 12 years in the Balkans working in programs aiming to strengthen institutions, promoting job creation and economic development. During the the implementation of my programs I have been responsible for the development of the monitoring and evaluation systems. I have also worked with my counterparts, in governments institutions, to develop adequate indicators to measure performance and evaluate the development of reforms we helped to introduce. My projects were implemented in a way to teach local counterparts to be sustainable, strengthening the existing capacity. I have extensive experience harmonizing legislation, regulations and standards to that of the EU. This is the prevalent standard, in all the Eastern European countries, I have worked. My programs have had multiple stakeholders in the government, civil society and academia. I am used to interact with all levels of Government. I have extensive experience working on communications of the reforms being introduced. I have design and implemented large public education campaigns. Geographically, I have worked in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Latin America and the Caucases. I am used to lead multi disciplinary and multi cultural teams. I am used to work in coordination with other donors and I always try to find synergies with other USAID programs. I feel passion for the work I do. It is really important for me, to make a difference, in favor of the people we are trying to assist, with the program I am working for.
