Steve Penfold has worked with USAID as an Implementing Partner (2011-2016) inc. as a Chief of Party and from 2017 as an Institutional Contractor. He has over 30 years’ leadership experience in public health and health management roles. His technical expertise stems from planning, delivering and evaluating public health interventions in the Kyrgyz Republic, Haiti, Jordan, Afghanistan, Cambodia and the United Kingdom. Expertise (service delivery and/or program design) includes: Global Health Security; FP; MNCH; HIV; GBV-services; large scale food fortification. In the UK he was Deputy Head of Sexual Health & HIV for England, within the Department of Health. Grant management experience includes: USAID; DFAT; Global Fund; UNICEF; UNAIDS. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH) and the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and in 2013 he was awarded the Royal Order of Sahametrei medal by the government of Cambodia.
