A committed conservation professional belonging to the coveted Indian Forest Service (IFS), a specialized cadre created in the Indian Government for the conservation of forests and wildlife of the country. With more than two and a half decades experience in the field of conservation, have 360° work experience in senior positions in various sectors: Government, Corporate, Research and Academics, and international non-profit organization. Have worked in India within the Government, both State and the Federal Government, inclusive of three years in a World Bank funded Forestry Project for the state of Uttar Pradesh; WWF-India, an International Non Profit Organization working in the field of Conservation, Ballarpur Industries Ltd, a multi-national company and the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, a research and academic institution as a teaching faculty. Was awarded the prestigious "British Chevening Scholarship" of Government of United Kingdom; the "International Visitors' Leadership Programme" of the Government of U.S.A. for outstanding contribution in the field of conservation. Have been conferred upon with the "Royal Bank of Scotland Earth Heroes Award" in 2014 for outstanding work in the field of wild life and habitat conservation in National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary. Have been chosen as a "Global Changemaker" among 35 awardees chosen worldwide from more than 50,000 Chevening Scholarship awardees by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the Government of U.K. in 2019 (35.chevening.org). Have proven leadership, managerial, financial and organizational skills and have led diverse, multicultural teams. Have good oratory, presentation and report writing skills and sound knowledge of computers including proficiency in GIS softwares ERDAS and ArcGIS. Am a TEDx speaker.
