Tetra Tech, a leader in consulting, engineering, environmental science and technical services worldwide has a challenging and immediate opportunity for a highly motivated professional in our growing Pro-telligent business unit.
PRO-telligent, A TetraTech Company, is seeking an experienced Country Program Manager for a proposal opportunity with the selected candidate to start by October 3, 2016.
The Country Program Manager for Nigeria will be required to:
- Analyze epidemiological data.
- Work with international organizations (Ministries of Health, NGO’s, other public health organizations).
- Plan and implement activities to improve data management practices for Vaccine Preventable Diseases.
- Assist in the development of technical reports.
- Provide technical advice to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in Geneva, Switzerland and other national public health organizations.
- Travel to remote locations to conduct surveillance activities providing 3 and 6 month assessments of outbreak status.
- Conduct training for CDC cooperative agreement recipients.
- Participate in activities designed to promote polio or measles eradication, data quality or surveillance of new vaccines in order to stay abreast of the most current developments in outbreaks.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess the following:
Master’s or advanced degree in Public Health, Medicine or related degree.
- 10 years experience working in public health programs developing policy, project management of a health related product.
- Fluency In French/English.
- Excellent writing and communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex time sensitive high quality activities.
- Ability to engage effectively with public and private sector.
- Prior experience in Nigeria. (Required)
- Ability to deliver on time, and work under time restraints and requirements.
