This internship is designed to be in-person and full-time (35 hours) but can be adjusted based on request by the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
Attend (in-person) and take notes of intergovernmental and UN inter-agency meetings (e.g., General Assembly Committees, Economic and Social Council).
Draft official documents, including background papers, analyses, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, and weekly reports for Regional Commissions.
Conduct analysis and research on regional trends and regional dimensions of sustainable development.
Provide logistical assistance during conferences and meetings of the Regional Commissions.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher).
Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
No prior work experience is required.
Training, education, or advanced coursework should benefit the UN during the internship.
Applicants must provide proof of academic enrollment or completion.
Candidates are required to cover travel, visa, accommodation, health insurance, and living expenses.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
Costs for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Non-citizen interns may need appropriate visas and work/employment authorization.
