The Role
The Australian Government, through DFAT, is partnering with the Government of Tuvalu to deliver the Te Ao – Tuvalu-Australia Partnership on Economic Governance Program. This initiative supports public financial management, fiscal reform, and inclusive economic growth aligned with Tuvalu’s national priorities.
To support this work, the Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform, implemented by DT Global, is seeking a part-time Economic and Tuvalu Trust Fund Adviser to provide strategic technical advice and policy support for the Te Ao program, and to represent Australia on the Tuvalu Trust Fund Advisory Committee (TTFAC). The TTFAC advises on the Fund’s operations, investment policy, and Tuvalu’s fiscal sustainability.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Assignments will include regular travel to Tuvalu and TTF Board meeting locations.

About You
You hold a tertiary qualification in development economics, international development, or a related field, with strong expertise in public financial management and investment portfolios. With over a decade of relevant professional experience, you bring deep knowledge of Trust Funds and economic governance, particularly within Pacific contexts. Your understanding of Pacific economies, especially Small Island States like Tuvalu is complemented by hands-on experience working across the region. You have a solid grasp of the technical and institutional processes of Pacific governments and are well-versed in the operation and management of Trust Funds.
