Work in the Library Services Section of the UN Library & Archives Geneva, under the supervision of the Chief of Library Services Section (also part of the UNOG Gender Focal Points).
Focus primarily on issues related to SDG 5 (Gender) and multimedia/video production.
Tasks may include:
Assisting with research
Multimedia production
Preparing social media posts
Updating and maintaining research guides and reading lists
Supporting planning and provision of training sessions or events
Preparing drafts for communications
Contributing to monitoring and evaluation of research and communication activities
Other activities with the team depending on interest and opportunity
Qualifications / Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
Enrolled in, or completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher)
Enrolled in, or completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
A field of study closely related to the internship is required.
Proof of enrollment or degree completion must be provided.
Experience in multimedia production (videos, podcasts, design) is desirable.
Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
French is a working language of the United Nations Secretariat.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
