The Role


DT Global is currently seeking a Project Manager. The role will have responsibility for planning, implementing, and overseeing projects from start up through to completion. This is a corporate role within DT Global, Sustainable Infrastructure team and will report to the PNG Infrastructure Lead, Sustainable Development. The role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several project aspects simultaneously. This includes the coordination of team resources, program requirements linked to scope of work and deliverables, financial management and client and internal reporting.

About You

The position requires the following qualification and experience:

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

  • Approx. 5-8 years of proven experience in the project management, international development and/or Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector;
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably from an AEC background or related discipline, with recent experience in project management, design, documentation, construction supervision and contract administration; and
  • Member of professional industry body and/or association, if relevant.

Skills:

  • Core Sectors: International Development sector experience in project management, design management, civil engineering (i.e., transport - roads and bridges, buildings, maritime), water supply and wastewater systems, telecommunications and energy and environmental impact assessments.
  • High-level knowledge, understanding and application of architectural and engineering concepts, design processes and related documentation deliverable requirements.
  • Good understanding requirements for design and documentation packages.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to gain knowledge and apply, relevant design standards, guidelines and legislation for government and international development projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills in order to manage team relationships and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems and complex issues, anticipate barriers and create practical solutions; and
  • Experienced in delivering donor funded projects (in particular for Asian Development Bank or World Bank).
  • International work experience is desirable
