Program Background

KINETIK, the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Climate, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure, is a flagship initiative to grow Indonesia’s green economic growth and accelerate its transition to clean energy. Launched in 2024, represents a commitment of AUD 200 million from the Australian Government to support efforts in decarbonisation, economic growth, and energy resilience. Through KINETIK, both countries are deepening bilateral cooperation by enhancing Indonesia’s access to climate finance, supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and promoting the development of clean and sustainable energy infrastructure.


The Role


KINETIK Hub is inviting eligible organisations or consortia to submit a grant proposal (or proposals) for the activity Supporting an Inclusive Climate Finance Ecosystem and Green Economic Growth in Indonesia. This work aims to make climate funding in Indonesia more inclusive by supporting opportunities for women, people with disabilities, and other groups. KINETIK welcomes proposals that address one or more of the following areas

  • Research,documentation, and knowledge-sharing on disability-inclusive climate finance
  • Identifying opportunities and leaders to guide inclusive climate finance
  • Development or adaptation of practical tools for inclusive climate investment
  • Targeted technical assistance in building inclusive investment frameworks
  • Facilitation of cross-sector dialogue among investors, policymakers and advocates for disability inclusion
  • Addressing barriers to inclusive green sectors

About The Potential Organisations

To ensure the promotion of locally led development, interested organisations should 1) possess a license to operate in Indonesia, or 2) partner with a company or organisation that has a license to operate in Indonesia. Detailed selection criteria are outlined in the RFP document.
