Duties and Responsibilities
The Psychosocial Support Intern is located in the Operational Support Section (OSS) of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM) in Geneva, Switzerland.
Enhance IIIM’s ongoing initiatives and contribute to the quality of psychosocial services provided to staff and beneficiaries.
Gain hands-on experience in organizational and forensic psychology.
Work under the supervision of the Witness Support Officer (WSO), assisting with evaluation of current staff and witness support services.
Explore ways to introduce new service opportunities.
Assist in implementation of the Staff Well-being and Positive Employee Experience strategic objective.
Assist with data interpretation of the Annual Well-being and Employee Engagement Survey.
Provide support to the IIIM Workgroup on Well-being and Employee Engagement.
Conduct research on best practices of psychosocial support to staff and witnesses.
Design materials for staff support for the Support to Staff online page.
Draft meeting minutes.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Must meet one of the following:
Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher).
Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree).
Degree should be in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Forensic Psychology.
Professional work experience is not required, but relevant field of study is necessary.
Must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of French is required.
Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Additional Information
Internship is in-person and full-time (40 hours), adjustable based on candidate request.
Maximum duration of six months.
Internship is unpaid.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00, with possible overtime.
