Program Background
The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice Phase 3 (AIPJ3) is a five-year, A$63 million investment by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to work in partnership with the Government of Indonesia (GOI) to support advancement of its priority law and justice reforms. Building on previous phases, AIPJ3 will support partners to deliver activities against agreed policy priorities, while maintaining flexibility to respond to emerging needs and opportunities. The program focuses on seven policy priorities that are important to Australia and Indonesia: accountability and transparency, criminal justice reform, preventing violent extremism, transnational crime cooperation, commercial law, access to justice, and women’s leadership.

The Role

The Public Diplomacy Officer will support the effective delivery of AIPJ3’s strategies and programming activities through public diplomacy events, media relations, and digital content that builds positive perception towards the partnership. This role will work closely with the Strategic Communications Manager and Program Team to shape AIPJ3’s key messages, increase its visibility, identify opportunities and suitable platforms to achieve the program’s public diplomacy objectives.

The Public Diplomacy Officer will also be responsible for managing media monitoring and analysis. This role will work closely with the Digital Analytics Officer in maximizing use of social media and analytics. This role will also support the opportunity for public diplomacy activities during exchange with higher education and private sectors. This role will contribute to strengthening AIPJ3’s visibility and supporting a culture of collaboration and locally led development.
