The Program
The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) to implement its Education, Health and Scholarship aid programs in Fiji and its Scholarship program in Tuvalu. The Facility will also support the Civil Society Sector in Fiji and delivery of Australia’s emergency response efforts following natural disasters, as well as governance sector support when requested by the Fijian Government.
The Government of Fiji’s Civil Service Reform Management Unit (CSRMU) manages and implements a range of reforms across the civil service working closely with Ministries and other stakeholders.
The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is recruiting the position of Job Evaluation and Position Based Remuneration Adviser on behalf of the CSRMU.
The Fijian Government now seeks an experienced remuneration / job evaluation specialist for a single input to coordinate the service wide moderation of jobs and to support the research required for any request for scarce skills allowances and review of position levels.
The Position
The Remuneration and Job Evaluation Specialist will work with the CSRMU to implement civil service wide moderation of job evaluations, collating documentation and research for the Job Evaluation Leadership Team (JELT) to enable them to finalise and confirm bands and remuneration for positions.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have Qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent industry certification in Job Evaluation or Remuneration setting. Combined with experience in researching, analysing and reporting on market salary rates and reflecting those in appropriate salary levels. Experience of working with multiple stakeholders and mentoring and coaching professional colleagues from different social and cultural backgrounds will be required and experience in Fiji or the region is highly desirable. Overall, evidence of leading, encouraging and supporting the implementation of significant change in human resource policy and procedure in a complex and large organisation is central to selection for this role.
A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the selected candidate. This contract will be offered based on a local contract and does not include any accommodation or other allowances. Fiji nationals and those already based in Fiji are encouraged to apply.
