Work Location

  • Geneva, Switzerland

Expected Duration

  • 3–6 months

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Power Apps to automate IT service tasks and workflows
  • Implement software tools to automate monitoring activities and clean-up processes
  • Draft and maintain system and desktop configuration documentation and reports
  • Support development of apps for IT asset recording using mobile cameras and barcode scanning
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for automation and provide recommendations for process improvement
  • Perform other related duties in support of IT service operations and other ad-hoc activities

Qualifications / Special Skills

  • Must meet one of the following at the time of application:
    • Enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme (Bachelor’s or equivalent)
    • Enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master’s or higher)
    • Completed one of the above degrees
  • Preferred academic fields: Computer sciences, software engineering, programming, or related areas
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, ASP.Net, MVC with C# programming, and SQL server experience
  • Skills in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) are an asset
  • Experience in database management, process automation, and application development
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning technologies and mobile application development is desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation
  • Good organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment

Languages

  • Fluency in English required
  • Working knowledge of another official UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is an asset

  • Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions
  • Non-citizens or non-permanent residents may require appropriate visa and work/employment authorization
