Following the commemorative week celebrating Human Rights Day on Dec. 10 and new commitments pledged on the Human Rights 75 event, whose theme was strengthening the movement centered on universality, progress, and engagement, the global development community is refocused on various human rights initiatives.
For development professionals seeking employment in the governance and human rights sector, there have been several noteworthy and engaging job opportunities available. Based on the data and analysis from Devex’s job board, the sector has released roughly 7,200 job postings in the past 12 months, with the UN Refugee Agency, UN Human Rights, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and Amnesty International as organizations with the highest job postings on Devex.
Among these job opportunities from the most active hiring organizations, most were located in their respective headquarters, such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, but several opportunities were also present in Colombia, Ukraine, and certain regions of Africa and Asia.
