As a journalist, media manager, university lecturer and development specialist, I have taken an active role in media, communication and CSO/NGO capacity building projects in transitional societies and emerging democracies, such as (in alphabetic order) Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, West bank and Gaza Strip. Since recently, my biggest single area of focus has been capacity building of civil society actors in promoting conflict resolution and reconciliation projects, and in enhancing dialogue/cooperation between governments, media and CSO sector.
