Summary

Mr. Budiansky has over 12 years of professional experience in rural development working primarily with agriculture communities throughout Africa and Central America. Through his career, he developed skills and expertise in community development, agroforestry, sustainable agriculture, agribusiness development, and wildlife management. He has managed a program to conserve gorilla and chimpanzee habitat in Cameroon by working directly with rural farmers to develop sustainable land-use systems around protected and non-protected areas. He is currently working managing a multi-donor livelihoods program in West Africa, developing public-private partnerships to improve the livelihoods of rural cocoa farmers. In working with multi-national development organizations, industry leaders, national governments, and donor organizations across the cocoa value chain, he is building a model for sustainable and impactful development. Mr. Budiansky served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, and has studied natural resources and wildlife management in Kenya and Costa Rica.
