Michael Gerba

I am a strategic global leader with over a decade of executive management experience driving sustainable organizational transformation and creating high-performance, inclusive cultures. I bring diverse perspectives and empathy to my leadership style having worked with small holder farmers and women groups in rural Nicaragua as a Peace Corps Volunteer to developing my business acumen as a senior manager for a Fortune Global 250 company to leading business operations in global research for development organizations in Peru and Kenya. I have a passion for leveraging technology and data-driven decision making to drive organizational efficiency and innovation. I bring these combined experiences and passions to leading cross-cultural teams that deliver operational excellence and impactful solutions to improve livelihoods and combats poverty in low- and middle-income counties. My commitments extend beyond organizational leadership as I serve as a Board of Director on four boards that includes a wildlife conservancy, a woman-led start-up genotyping platform, employee benefits organization, and a retirement plan trust. I hold an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and I am fluent in English and intermediate in Spanish.
