Build and strengthen the capacity of members and associate members of ESCAP to leverage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for socio-economic development.
Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and multi-stakeholder dialogue and partnership activities.
Draft and edit content for public information materials, including social media posts.
Propose new projects for the website and social media platforms and identify opportunities to reach a wider audience.
Provide assistance in improving the functionality of the website and e-learning page.
Assist in checking the website for broken pages or design inconsistencies.
Support the development of PHP web pages linked with databases and the extraction of database values in document formats, e.g., Excel spreadsheets.
Undertake various research tasks as directed by the supervisor, collecting, analyzing, and presenting statistical data and other information from diverse sources.
Create and design reports using dashboards and data visualization tools.
Support the production of e-learning courses by reviewing multimedia content and materials.
Assist in administrative and substantive support for meetings and conferences, including preparation of background documents, presentations, and logistics.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or higher) or be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree).
Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Professional work experience is not required, but a keen interest in project implementation and capacity building is an advantage.

Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset.
Working languages of the UN Secretariat include Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
