Contribute as a research assistant to the implementation of the Gender Equality Observatory’s activities
Support planning and monitoring, with an emphasis on the regular update of statistical indicators and knowledge production
Draft documentation, systematize databases, and prepare materials, inputs, summaries, and concept notes
Support the organization of meetings
Review documents and collect information
Update databases
Attend, organize, and take notes in meetings and events
Prepare draft presentations and documents
Conduct data analysis on gender equality and women’s autonomy
Qualifications/Special Skills
High School Diploma required
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent or higher)
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience
Field of study closely related to the internship is required
Must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s, or Ph.D. programme, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. programme
Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Teams
Relevant knowledge of gender equality, social sciences, and international relations is desirable
Languages
Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required
Knowledge of Portuguese is desirable

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations
Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions
Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization
