Assist with monitoring the media for news stories of interest to the UN and UNO.
Research, draft, and update content for public information outreach and advocacy, both online and offline, under guidance from the Head of the UN Information Office (DGC Representative) or relevant subject matter experts.
Assist in recording, editing, and subtitling videos.
Support media outreach, including distribution of press releases and other information materials to mass media and civil society organizations.
Help organize activities for planned and ad hoc UN events, such as round tables, conferences, and Model UNs.
Provide general support for public information activities and meetings.
Assist with drafting news stories.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications / Special Skills
Must meet one of the following:
Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school program (second university degree or higher).
Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level).
Computer literate in standard software applications.
Demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter.
Ability to interact successfully with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, showing tolerance and understanding of differing opinions.
Professional experience is not required.
Languages
Fluency in English and Persian is required.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
