Summary

Christine Verheijden is a senior international expert with 25 years of experience in development cooperation, as advisor, capacity builder, researcher and project management. Seasoned experience in social/gender analysis, gender approaches & mainstreaming, PME, proposal writing & proposal assessments, institutional development, development of policies & strategies, project management, (impact) assessments and evaluations. Working experiences in and with a variety of organisations, such as civil society organisations, (academic) institutions, private and public sector, financial institutions, multilateral banks and also in partnerships. Additionally working on stand-alone gender issues, such as GBV, SRHR, feminist approaches, LGBTI+; and other social inclusion aspects. Ample experience with rights issues, such as human rights, women’s rights, and workers’ rights. Her regional experiences are: Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. The main working sectors are natural resources management (NRM) and agriculture, including water management, climate change/finance, green economies and related sectors, including infrastructure projects for • Gender equality (GESI) integration. • Strengthening organisational capacity, including at educational level and curriculum development with a gender focus. • Women & girls empowerment, including economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, Gender Based Violence GBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) issues • Women’s Rights and Women's (Rights) organizations • Programme/project management Christine is an eperienced trainer and facilitator, she is an integer, communicative, people-oriented, pro-active, result- and quality oriented professional.
