Mohammed Badaza

Iam a Ugandan male aged 47 years holding a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and masters degree in Water Resources Engineering.

I have worked as a Water Engineer with the Directorate of Water Development of the Ministry of Water & Environment in Uganda overseeing implementation of water supply and sanitation interventions in both rural and urban areas in Eastern Uganda through the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project, RUWASA, Danida and Government of Uganda funded Project. I also coordinated the implementation of Pallisa Town Water Supply and Sanitation Project funded by the World Bank and Government of Uganda through the Northern Uganda Reconstruction Programme.

As the Project Manager responsible for Sio-Malaba-Malakisi River Basin Management & Development Project of the Nile Basin Initiative, I have had substantial experience in the planning and implementation of water resources development infrastructure projects, including water supply and sanitation and hygiene promotion, planning and implementation of sanitation and drainage projects, water supply systems based on surface and groundwater abstraction, domestic wastewater and solid waste management. I have been involved in the preparation and implementation of several water supply and sanitation projects both for rural and urban communities in both Kenya and Uganda. Key projects implemented include Mella Piped Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Uganda and Angurai Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Kenya.
